Pharmacological Class
This medicine is an antiparasitic of the imidazole family.
Indications
  • This drug is indicated for the treatment of intestinal parasitosis with one or more parasites:
  • Oxyurosis (Enterobius vermicularis).
  • Ascaridiosis (Ascaris lumbricoides).
  • Ankylostomosis (Ankylostoma duodenale, Necator americanus).
  • Trichuriasis (Trichuris trichiura).
  • Anguillulose (Strongyloides stercoralis).
  • Taeniasis (Taenia saginata, Taenia solium) : Treatment with albendazole should be considered only in the case of associated parasitic infections sensitive to albendazole.
  • Giardiasis (Giardia intestinalis or duodenalis) of the child.
